that do the work

A thousand words covers about two thirds of everyday Russian. This deck teaches them one card at a time and tracks which ones are slipping.

Three steps

  1. 1 Tap the card for the meaning, a few inflected forms, and the word inside a sentence — where быть becomes был.
  2. 2 Swipe right if you knew it, left if you didn't. Buttons and arrow keys do the same.
  3. 3 Set the 1–10 meter. It alone decides when the word comes back: 1 is minutes, 10 is half a year.
